The Office of Rural Hauntings investigates apparitions in cornfields, lights moving through abandoned barns, figures standing beside back roads at inappropriate hours, voices coming from empty grain silos, and reports involving livestock that refuse to enter a perfectly normal-looking patch of woods.
Please do not follow lanterns into the field.
Our field staff are trained in property assessment, witness interviews, boundary marking, historical research, and pretending not to notice when the scarecrow changes position between visits.
Common incidents include phantom tractors, roadside women in white, footsteps around isolated houses, unexplained knocking on outbuildings, and “something large” crossing the road where there are no known large things.
