Introducing Rituals & Riots: Incantations of Defiance – a collaborative zine of art, words, witchcraft, and rebellion. This is a space for creators, dreamers, and revolutionaries to share their voices, visions, and magic. Whether through poetry, essays, short fiction, visual art, photography, or spells of defiance, we want to hear from you. Your submission does not have to be “witchy” themed! But we like that too!

What We’re Looking For
We’re accepting submissions on themes of resistance, activism, and defiant creativity.

This includes but isn’t limited to:
Poetry, short stories, and personal essays (max 5 pages)
Photography, illustrations, and mixed media art
Thought-provoking articles and informational pieces
Spells and rituals that empower and fight back
Collage, zine-style layouts, and experimental works
Stories of rebellion, hope, and revolution in all forms
Witchy themes are welcome but not required—we want to explore everything it means to be defiant in these times.

Suggested Donation for Submission
We suggest a $1 donation per submission (or more if you’re able) to help fund printing and production. However, a donation is not required and does not affect acceptance.

What Happens Next?
Accepted submissions will appear in our handmade and professionally printed editions.
All contributors receive a digital copy of the issue.

The first issue will be assembled in a community night at Blackwater Apothecary. More details soon.
