August Just Add Magic - Limited Edition Jump Ins

This listing is for a one-time jump-in box for August’s Just Add Magic theme, Swamp Witch.

For August, we are stepping into the dead heat of summer. Cicadas screaming. Mud on bare feet. Tannin-dark water, cypress knees, Spanish moss, storm-heavy air, old docks sinking slowly into the shoreline, and the wonderfully unsettling feeling that the landscape may be watching you right back.

This box is inspired by blackwater swamps, Southern Gothic atmosphere, wetland folklore, practical magic, and the strange abundance of places people too often mistake for empty or dead. Think incense smoke curling through humid air, plants hung to dry, old stories attached to trees and waterways, boundaries drawn, curses buried, and the parts of ourselves that do not need to be softened, brightened, or made palatable before they are worthy of our attention.

Swamp Witch is about what survives, what adapts, and what learns to thrive in murky conditions. It is about shadow, anger, instinct, protection, transformation, and the things growing beneath the surface while everyone else is looking toward the light. The swamp does not ask everything within it to be clean, pretty, or easily understood. It simply keeps living.

As always, each Just Add Magic box is curated around the month’s theme and may include a mix of Blackwater-made ritual goods, fragrance items, home or body goods, printed materials, magical tools, creative extras, and other strange little treasures depending on where the theme takes us.

Boxes are typically ready between the 3rd and 4th week of the month.
